Welcome!  I am glad you are here.

My name is Jess. I am an activist, a singer-songwriter, a leader, a story-teller.

I believe it is not radical to want to live on a healthy planet where we can all thrive. And that it is not naive to believe we can make it happen.

I spent the first half of my life between Belgium, Great Britain and France. I now live in Vienna, Austria with my partner and my dog. My career in international solidarity has brought me to some fantastic places, and especially nurtured my admiration for the African continent. 

I am most at home in the folk, rock and indie genres, but I also love all kinds of other genres like Lingala, soul, electro, and swing. Major influences include Joni Mitchell, Tracy Chapman, and Paul Simon. 

I hope my songs can bring comfort, and help people feel less alone. My grief about that state of the world and determination to bring about change can be found in my lyrics as well.
